Via its support page, Nintendo announced today it will discontinue online features for Super Mario Maker on Wii U.
As seen on the post, players won’t be able to upload courses for the mentioned Wii U game starting on March 31, 2021. Also, the Super Mario Maker Bookmark website will be shut down.
The discontinuation of these service won’t let players update the ranking of liked courses nor look up for bookmarked courses.
The Wii U game will no longer be available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop on Jan. 12, 2021. However, fans who purchase the game will still be able to re-download it after its removal from the digital store.

The sequel, Super Mario Maker 2 for Nintendo Switch, won’t be affected.
