While two new game systems have made their debut this week, Nintendo continues to achieve success with 735,926 Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles sold in October 2020 in the US.
For Nintendo, it’s the second-highest October console sales record in its history. At number one, is the 2008 October record with 807,000 Wii units sold.
With results from last month, Nintendo has sold a total of 22.5 million Switch consoles in the US and 63 million units worldwide.
According to the NPD, the Switch has become the best-selling gaming console for 23 consecutive months.
With the launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, will Nintendo continue to achieve success in sales of the Switch?
“Seeing encouraging sales growth like this in the fourth October of Nintendo Switch proves to us that the system has many more years and great games yet to come,” said Doug Bowser, President at Nintendo of America.
To keep successful sales, Nintendo will bundle a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 3-month individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online.
