Remedy Entertainment announced today Control Ultimate Edition, the complete Control game plus The Foundation and AWE expansions along with all content updates, will be coming to various consoles and PC, including with a free upgrade to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, current owners of the original PS4 and Xbox One versions of Control won’t be elegible to get the upgraded content on the upcoming consoles.
While Control Ultimate Edition will come to Steam, Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, the digital upgrade will apply to those who purchase the PS4 and Xbox One versions of this complete edition. Besides the two main expansions, fans will get “the Expeditions end game mode, Photo Mode and all the content updates since the release of the original game.”
The release date of this edition will depend on the platform it will be available for:
• August 27th Steam
• September 10th Epic Game Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (digital)
• End of 2020 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (physical edition)
• End of 2020 PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (digital)
• Early 2021 PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (physical)
The reason: “We are unfortunately unable to ship both digital and physical editions at the same time due to various production reasons related to the global pandemic.”
Control Ultimate Edition will be on sale for US$39.99/£34.99/€39.99.
