During today’s Ubisoft Forward event, Ubisoft officially announced Far Cry 6 is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC, on February 18, 2021.
The game introduces players to Giancarlo Esposito as Antón Castillo, the president of the island of Yara.
The world premiere trailer gives gamers a look at the island where confrontations occur between protestors and police, while Castillo tries to convince his son Diego to succeed him.
Anthony Gonzales, who plays the the role of Diego Castillo in Far Cry 6, is known for his role as the voice of lead character Miguel in the 2007 animated film Coco.
Fans will play as Dani Rojas, either as a male or female character. As Dani, member of the revolution, “you’ll use a powerful array of weapons and vehicles, and build a network of allies to fight alongside you, including Fangs for Hire like Chorizo, the dangerously distracting wiener dog.”
Along with Giancarlo Esposito and Anthony Gonzalez, there is a diverse cast which includes the following: Sean Rey,
Nisa Gunduz, Alex Fernandez, Jess Salgueiro, Shakira Barrera, Jason Canela, Conrad Pla, Manuel Rodriguez Saenz, Erik Valdez, Mercedes Morris, Xavier Lopez, Lincoln A. Castellanos, Christian Ochoa, Nicola Correia-Damude, Paulino Nunes, Sara Garcia, Conrad Coates, Humberly González, Liza Huget, Michael Miranda, Michelle Arvizu, Rick Roberts, and Noam Jenkins. Pedro Bromfman is in charge of the music.
Ubisoft released two more videos: one of the cinematic title sequence and an interview with Giancarlo Esposito.
