Square Enix officially confirmed Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, a new rhythm-action game coming out this year for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The company made an announcement this past Tuesday in Japanese, with an English-language press release published yesterday.
According to the press release, the game will feature “over 140 musical tracks and 20 characters from throughout the beloved series.”
“Players will journey through iconic Disney worlds, and join forces with recognizable Disney characters whilst enjoying unforgettable KINGDOM HEARTS series music, alongside timeless tracks from Disney’s cinematic classics,” says the post. Gamers will also be able to play together online.
Fans of the franchise who own the Nintendo 3DS may see some similarities with Thearhythm Final Fantasy and Thearhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call.
Melody of Memories will also become the first game in the KH coming to Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix will also release a KHIII original soundtrack, “which will feature many of the unforgettable and timeless tracks from the critically-acclaimed KINGDOM HEARTS III and will be available globally in Fall 2020.”
