Sega celebrated its 60th anniversary yesterday releasing the third episode of the Sega Shiro saga.
In it, the young Sega Shiro shows his many emotions as faces a masked man, Sega Hatan Shiro, who wants Sega to go bankrupt.
After his victory, Sega Shiro sees who’s behind the mask: his father, Segata Sanshiro.
“I wanted to see how you’ve grown. You can now protect Sega,” says the father.
His father tells him that Sega doesn’t just do games, but other forms of entertainment as well.
As Sega Shiro keeps saying “Father,” Segata Sanshiro tells his son he must protect Sega, to surpass him and to send him flying.
Sega Shiro complies and send his dad flying to planet Saturn (reference to Sega Saturn).
He yells, but it was all a dream and wakes up in the classroom. But as his classmates laugh at him, Sega Shiro reads a message: “I’m entrusting you with Sega.”
Was that a dream?
