Sony announces The Future of Gaming event for June 4

Sony announced its online event called The Future of Gaming to give fans at first look at PlayStation 5 games on June 4.

Fans have been waiting for more news from Sony’s gaming division, after only seeing the PS5 logo and controller, technical specifications, and a PS5 game demo by Epic Games. Meanwhile, Microsoft has already shown what the console looks like and shared info about many features of the Xbox Series X.

According to Jim Ryan, President and CEO at Sony Interactive Entertainment, “the games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”

The digital showcase will be seen via YouTube and Twitch on June 4 at 4pm ET / 1pm PT, and will last “for a bit more than an hour.” Check out playstation.com/ps5.
