The first “Wholesome Direct” to introduce 50+ indie games

The first-ever Wholesome Direct will introduce 50+ indie games this Tuesday, May 26 at 1pm ET via YouTube.

According to the web site, the goal of the presentation of these independent games is “to bring attention to an emerging genre of games less concerned with how you play (shooter, platformer, etc.) and more concerned with how they made you feel.”

Among some of the games with exclusive footage are Ooblets (about “farming and collecting creatures”), Spiritfarer, SkateBIRD, Little Witch in the Woods, Garden Story, Chicory, and Rainy Season (a narrative game that lets you “live a mundane life as a a child”).

Fans can already start taking a look at some games by clicking on the logos at the bottom of the home page.

It’s not that often that gamers get to see a showcase primarily focused on indie developers.
