In the second chapter of Sega Shiro, the young and handsome student is first seen with devices of Sega’s past. When a classmate asks him if he’s holding on to a Switch, he shows a Sega Game Gear. When others ask him about the sunglasses he’s wearing, it’s actually a set of Sega Master System 3D glasses; he responds with his typical “Sega dayo!” (translation: “It’s Sega!).
The references about old Sega devices changes to an animated segment after someone asks him about his judo gi. He remembers fond memories of his father training him with Sega consoles, and also his father’s death after sacrificing his life to save the company’s headquarters. But, did he really died?
A seemingly evil force makes an appearance. That masked man identifies himself as Sega Hatanshiro. The Japanese word “hatan” means either “failure” or “bankruptcy”.
Who’s the one behind the mask? Is the real Segata Sanshiro making a comeback? Find out on ….. June 3, 2020.
