Paul Haddad, actor who brought to life the voice of Leon Kennedy in the original Resident Evil 2 video game, has passed away at the age of 56.
Indie game developer Invader Studios, based in Italy, shared the news with fans yesterday.
“Paul Haddad, our dear friend and an icon among the RE community, has passed away recently. We’ve been truly honored to have the chance to meet and work with such a great man and a brilliant professional that He was.

Haddad had recently worked with Invader Studios to provide his voice for the game Daymare: 1998, a survival horror game launched two months ago in Japan and on April 28 for a worldwide release.

According to his imdb profile, Haddad started his career in the 1980s as a TV and voice actor in shows and games like X-Men: The Animated Series, Babar, Free Willy (TV series), Tales from the Cryptkeeper, MacGyver (1991), Hype: The Time Quest (voice / video game) and many others.
The website BioHazard Declassified says the English actor died on April 11th and shares a tweet from Resident Evil Wiki stating Haddad died of stage-3 throat cancer.
