Streets of Rage 4 adds 12 fighters and soundtracks from previous titles

Today, game developer DotEmu released the Retro trailer featuring 12 fighters and soundtracks from previous titles.

Fans of the classic 2D side-scrolling action game will enjoy switching the modern soundtracks with the classic ones from Streets of Rage 1 & 2 during gameplay. Also, the 12 fighters announced today will keep their original pixel look.

Along with game developer Lizardcube and game studio Guard Crush Games, DotEmu will release the Classic Edition and the Standard Edition on PS4 and Nintendo Switch now available for pre-order at LimitedRunGames.com.

The Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition for Switch includes:

• Limited Run #65: Streets of Rage 4 (Switch)
• Reversible “Bare Knuckle IV” cover art and an instruction manual.
• Official Nintendo Switch SteelBook Case
• A custom Genesis clamshell case with reversible cover sheet sized to fit both the SteelBook case and the standard game case.
• A Switch platform branded slipcover.

The Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition for PS4 includes:

• Limited Run #332: Streets of Rage 4 (PS4)
• Reversible “Bare Knuckle IV” cover art and an instruction manual.
• G2 SteelBook Case
• A custom Genesis clamshell case with cover sheet sized to fit both the SteelBook case and the standard game case.

The Standard Edition will cost $34.99 while the Classic Edition will cost $59.99.
