Earlier today via social media, Twitch announced it has decided to cancel TwitchCon Amsterdam 2020 due to Coronavirus concerns.
“We have been monitoring Coronavirus concerns and having weighed the potential health risks to our community we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel TwitchCon Amsterdam,” the post says.
For Twitch, “the health and safety of our community, employees, and everyone else who has a part in making TwitchCon happen is, as always, our top priority.”
Fans who have purchased tickets for the event will get their money back. Meanwhile, hotel reservations made via Twitch’s hotel block can be cancelled free of charge by contacting RAI Hotel Services. People who have booked rooms elsewhere would need to contact their corresponding hotels soon.
Check out the page for FAQs about the cancellations.
