Starting March 8 at 8pm Pacific time, fans will be able to compete against seven other players with the new Multiplayer mode in Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo announced via social media.
As seen on Facebook and Twitter, MKT fans will have three ways to play. The first one is for gamers who want to play basically just for fun with friends or others nearby and choose their own rules. The second one, Standard Races, lets players race against other people from around the world. The third one, Gold Races, is only available to MKT Gold Pass subscribers and lets players compete “with the best of the best for the highest grade.”
Both Standard and Gold Races lets users improve their profile’s grade ranking.
Also, Gold Pass subscribers will be able to participate in competitive races in the 150cc and 200cc races. People not subscribed will only be able to participate in 100cc races.
All three modes will have three courses “from a cup in the current tour.” The featured cup will change every 15 minutes.
