Following the steps of Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks decided to remove most of its games from Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming service.
“Please be advised most Bethesda Softworks titles will be removed from the GeForce NOW service today,” says the post. “Wolfenstein Youngblood will remain for all members. Founders members can continue to experience the game with RTX On.”
Though Activision removed all its 20 games previously available, it is not the only company that decided about leaving GeForce Now. Other publishers, such as Rockstar and Capcom, removed their library of games before the launch of the service.
Phil Eisler, VP/GM of GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming at Nvidia, wrote the following statement:
“As we approach a paid service, some publishers may choose to remove games before the trial period ends. Ultimately, they maintain control over their content and decide whether the game you purchase includes streaming on GeForce NOW. Meanwhile, others will bring games back as they continue to realize GeForce NOW’s value (stay tuned for more on that). As the transition period comes to completion, game removals should be few and far between, with new games added to GeForce NOW each week.”
Will more companies bring their content back to Nvidia’s service or will they remove their content instead?
