Though many fans were hoping of news about the reveal of the PlayStation 5 console, all gamers got to see was the official PS5 logo, plus a bit of info fans already expected.
Though not many people in social media believed Sony would show nothing game-related, the talk about video games was longer than perhaps many people believed.
To start, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan shared the statistics about the success of the PlayStation 4. Next, he showed features that have been added to the console throughout its life cycle.

About the PlayStation 5, Ryan mentioned hardware features of the console such as the 3D audio sound, haptics / adaptive triggers, ultra-high speed SSD, hardware-based ray tracing, and ultra HD Blu-Ray. Some fans were hoping for any mention of backward compatibility; it just didn’t happen this time.

Of course, the showing of the official PlayStation 5 logo looks strikingly similar to the PS4 and PS3 ones.

It would have been nice for Sony to show off the PlayStation 5 and a tech demo, instead of just the logo. It seems like the logo wasn’t enough to satisfy certain fans.
What did Sony show off at CES 2020 regarding the PlayStation 5?
The system itself?
A tech demo?
The console’s specs?
Nope. A logo. pic.twitter.com/CBEYssSELz
