According to Deadline, Travis Knight has left the Uncharted film project, becoming the sixth film director to move away from PlayStation Productions’ first movie.
After his debut directing his first live-action film with Bumblebee in late 2018, he joined Warner Bros. to direct the Six Billion Dollar Man, also with Mark Wahlberg.
Walhberg, along with Tom Holland, are still committed to work on Uncharted.
On September 27, 2019, he joined PlayStation Pictures to direct the film adaptation of Uncharted. However, he left Uncharted today due to scheduling conflicts. As seen on Deadline, “Tom Holland’s Spider-Man schedule is crunching Uncharted’s timeline and sources said that will cost the picture Travis Knight.”
Knight becomes the sixth director to leave Uncharted. Others who left the same job are: Dan Tractenberg, Shawn Levy, Seth Gordon, Neil Burger, and David Russell.
With Knight out, it seems like the film will be delayed once again.
