Game rental has been a way for people to check out a game for one or more days before deciding to purchase an actual copy. After leaving a store or a gas station, it has been easy to get a game of your choice. However, Redbox is leaving game rental and selling its library of games at low prices until the end of the year.
As seen on Twitter, a Redbox customer service representative said the company is shifting its focus. Netflix wants to “focus into physical media with movies, streaming On Demand & new exclusive content moving forward.”

Among the many games Redbox is currently selling off from its library of video games at heavily discounted prices, there is Marvel’s Spider-man at US$10, for example.
