After Nvidia surprised gamers with the addition of ray tracing to the 1997 classic PC title Quake II, its Lightspeed Studios is ready to add real-time ray tracing features to more classic PC games.
According to DSOGaming.com, Nvidia, as seen on job post on myworkdayjobs.com, is looking for a producer for Lightspeed Studios for its new remastering program.
“We’re cherry-picking some of the greatest titles from the past decades and bringing them into the ray tracing age, giving them state-of-the-art visuals while keeping the gameplay that made them great,” says the post.
So far, the game the studio plans to work on is a secret, and it’s a title “that you know and love but we can’t talk about here!” For now, Nvidia is building a team to take on the challenge.
A few games are already in the minds of gamers, such as Thief, Unreal, Half-Life and Deus Ex. Which one would you like to see next?
