At the New York Comic Con this past Friday, My Hero Academia won Best Manga at The Harvey Awards, one of the oldest and most prestigious awards of the comic book industry.
The manga, created by Kōhei Horikoshi and published by Viz Media, competed against five other nominees: Frankenstein: Junji Ito Story Collection, Mob Psycho 100, Our Dreams at Dusk, Smashed, and Witch Hat Atelier.
Also, the live-action film Alita: Battle Angel was nominated for Best Comics Adaptation Award, but lost out against Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
It’s the third consecutive time The Harvey Awards takes place at the New York Comic Con.
