After the leak of a poster this past Friday, a teaser for the upcoming Pokémon series simply called Pocket Monsters, shown during the broadcast of today’s episode, confirmed the return of Ash along with the introduction of a new trainer named Gou.
According to Serebii, Gou (ゴウ) is a “young boy just starting out.” His goals are to catch every Pokémon and find Mew, the mythical Pokémon he saw when he was a kid. In the teaser, Gou appeears next to his Pokémon named Scorbunny.
The first episode of Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター), a one-hour special, will air in Japan on November 17.
