As the release of Dragon Quest XI S approaches, Square Enix announced Smash Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai will be present at the Japanese Countdown Special live broadcast for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
The Japanese broadcast will start on September 26 at 9pm JST and finish at 1am JST on September 27th, the game’s release day. In other words, gamers in Japan get to play DQXIS first due to time difference.
For fans interested in watching, the first part of the broadcast will feature Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, along with Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii in a “special conversation.” Later, the second part of the broadcast will feature the appearance of the voiceover actors ready to celebrate at exactly midnight the arrival of the release date while chatting about the game and the entire series.
Square Enix Japan will release more information about part two of the broadcast soon as well as links for fans to watch the livestream.
