Yacht Club Games announces Shovel Knight Dig

At PAX West today, Yacht Club Games announced Shovel Knight Dig, the next game in the company’s franchise.

Yacht Club Games, in collaboration with Nitrome Games Limited, started working on the development of this game “more than a year” ago. Nitrome is known for its various browser and mobile games, including Bomb Chicken.

For fans, the artistic style of Dig, as seen on the trailer, should look familiar though the gameplay is entirely different. This time though, the game is not a side-scrolling experience. Instead, it’s more like going down and digging your way through in every level.

Currently, the game still is a work in progress. As seen on the video description on YouTube, “It’s got quite a ways to go still, but we wanted to give you a taste of the amazing adventure that Shovel Knight will be embarking on next!”
