Fans of the most popular sandbox video game may be disappointed to know that Mojang has ceased development of Minecraft’s Super Duper Graphics Pack. Back in 2017 during E3, Mojang announced the mentioned graphic pack.
Earlier today, a new post on Minecraft.net says that they weren’t satisfied with the pack’s performance on supported devices. “We realise this is disappointing to some of you – there was a lot of enthusiasm for Super Duper from inside and outside the studio – but unfortunately, we aren’t happy with how the pack performed across devices. For this reason, we’re stopping development on the pack, and looking into other ways for you to experience Minecraft with a new look.”
The look and feel of the Super Duper pack, that was supposed to be released in the fall of 2017, was exciting to look at and enjoy, with the addition of dynamic shadows, among other graphical features.
