EA files trademark for Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

A new search on the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s website shows that EA has filed a trademark for Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville on August 9th.

The info about this trademark first appeared on Gematsu thanks to Twitter user the_marmolade who informed Gematsu about the finding on the EUIPO website.

Back in February, EA via its @PlantsvsZombies account on Twitter said a new game is coming to PC and consoles, but didn’t share any details about the working title.

Also, last month, EA sent invites to select testers last month to try a PvZ game codenamed Picnic as part of a confidential playtest.

Could Picnic be a codename for Battle for Neighborville, or could it be a separate PvZ title in the works?
