Riot Games, known for its MOBA title League of Legends, has confirmed the company is developing a fighting game.
During today’s broadcast, Tom Cannon, the EVO co-founder as well as an employee at Riot Games after the company acquired Radiant Entertainment, officially revealed the existence of a game in the works.
“I wanted to let people in on maybe the worst kept secret in the universe, which is that I can confirm we are working on a fighting game for Riot,” said Cannon, as seen in the video shared by eSports consultant Rod Breslau.

Cannon did not share additional info about the upcoming game, meaning it’s still unknown if the fighting game will have anything to do with League of Legends. Before Radiant Entertainment was acquired by Riot Games, it was working on Rising Thunder (a fighting game featuring giant robots) and Stonehearth (a city building game).
Will this upcoming fighting game become just an extension of its League of Legends franchise, or will it be an entirely new creation?
