As seen on the press release on Netflix.com, Netflix Animation and King Features Syndicate will be in charge of the series. “The new series will expand on the characters and world of Cuphead, with an animation style inspired by the classic Fleischer cartoons from the 1930s.”
For now, The Cuphead Show!’s page on Netflix doesn’t have any detailed info or pictures about the animation.
Cuphead, a run and gun game featuring main character Cuphead and his brother Mugman, is known for its high level of difficulty, cool jazz music, and hand-drawn traditional animation of yesteryears. The goal of the game is to collect souls for the Devil after Cuphead and Mugman lose theirs on a bet.
Last week, Studio MDHR released a teaser trailer of an upcoming DLC for Cuphead called “The Delicious Last Course.” The DLC will be released in 2020.
