The popular browser-based game that lets over 70 players online compete and survive Super Mario Bros. levels has recently gone through some changes, and it wasn’t just a name change. You’re still supposed to get in one of the top 3 spots to win, but you won’t be seen Mario anymore.
First, in version 2.0.0 Alpha, Mario Royale is now known as DMCA Royale after creator InfernoPlus patched the game to remove the famous plumber due to an DMCA Takedown notice he received. “F—. It happened. Please bear with us while we fix the game over the next few days,” says on the patch page.
Infringio Royale V2.0.0 ALPHA is up. Uhhhh…. It's not pretty but hopefully it won't get me sued.
So yeah. Give it a few days and we should have it looking a lot better.

Next, in version 2.0.1, InfernoPlus renamed the characters as Infringio Infringio and Copyright Infringio, added all recreated assets (sprites, SFX, music, maps, etc), added a new kid friendly/streamer mode (by pressing the N button in the top right side of the screen to hide the entire text), and made it easier to start the game by just pressing the A button if gamers are using a gamepad.
K so uh. Anyone up to do music/sfx like… right now
I got an hour-ish

Earlier today, in version 2.0.2, InfernoPlus did some bug and map fixes as well as sprite changes, and added a gun.
So, the original Mario Royale that took “about three weeks total, spread out over a few months” is no more, but you can the modified version now called DMCA Royale.
