Zeku is the newest character in Street Fighter V

At the South East Asia Major 2017 Top 8 tourney in Singapore, Capcom officially introduced Zeku, the last fighter in the lineup for Street Fighter V’s Season 2 DLC. Zeku will be available for download starting October 24.

Street Fighter fans may remember Zeku’s first appearance in Street Fighter Alpha 2 as a non-playable character. This will be the first time in franchise history that gamers will be able to play as Guy’s coach.

Here’s Zeku’s backstory, as seen on the description on the video page on YouTube:

First seen in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Zeku was Guy’s former teacher, who taught him to master Bushinryu, a style of ninjutsu. Eventually, Guy was able to obtain the title of 39th Master of Bushinryu. Zeku then disappeared and was never seen again…until now! Zeku has reappeared looking to start his own ninja group and find a new fighting style.
