On Facebook this morning, Nintendo confirmed people will be able to pre-order the Super Nintendo Classic Edition “late this month” via many retailers.
For fans who don’t get to pre-order it, they will still be able to purchase the SNES Classic on Day 1 and later. With the limited amount of the NES Classic Edition, the company seems ready to bring more. “A significant amount of additional systems will be shipped to stores for launch day, and throughout the balance of the calendar year,” says the post.
It seems like Nintendo made this announcement necessary due to pre-orders that were available before the end of the day this past Friday on Walmart’s web site. Customers who got to pre-order the SNES Classic had their orders cancelled.
