As the release date for Nintendo’s third-person shooter approaches, Nintendo announced via social media a new Splatoon 2 Nintendo Direct on July 6 at 10am ET / 7am PT. On Thursday, Nintendo will reveal new features for the Nintendo Switch title.
Though Nintendo has had many Direct broadcasts dedicated to this upcoming game, this may be the last Splatoon 2 Direct before the game’s launch on July 21.
Players can already expect a local multiplayer mode, a feature that was absent in the original Splatoon game for the Wii U. This time around, with up to eight players, each with his or her Switch, can join in the fun.
