As the next adventure of Link approaches, Nintendo announced today the arrival of DLC, currently in development, for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Known as the Expansion Pass, the two sets of downloadable content will cost $19.99 and will be released later this year.
Along with the DLC’s purchase or pre-purchase, players will receive three new treasure chests containing two items plus a shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo for Link to wear.
As for the availability of the DLC, the first one will make its debut this Summer and will come with a “Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode, and a new feature for the in-game map.” The second set will be launched during Holiday 2017 and will include “a new dungeon and a new original story” as well as additional challenges. Each set won’t be sold separately.
“The world of Hyrule, which we created for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is so large and vibrant that we wanted to offer more for players to experience within it,” said Nintendo developer and Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. “With this new Expansion Pass, we hope that fans will play, explore and enjoy the game even more.”
