As the arrival of Nintendo’s newest console approaches, people have been wondering what the title of the soccer game will be and when it’ll be launched. Now there is an answer for at least one of the questions. This past weekend, EA’s Peter Moore told Gamereactor that EA’s FIFA game for Nintendo Switch will be called FIFA 18.
“Well, as we have said, we are custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch,” Moore said while at a FIFA event. “It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out.”
Though it seems like EA and Moore are into a wait-and-see approach, he said he was “very impressed to see FNAC stores with Nintendo Switch in the windows.” Currently, there are no plans to bring other games, including Mass Effect: Andromeda, to Switch. So far, FIFA 18 is the only game coming to Nintendo Switch.
After Gamereactor asked Moore if FIFA 18 will be a slimmed-down version of the PS4 and Xbox One versions, Moore told Gamereactor that FIFA 18 “will be a custom built version for the Nintendo Switch from the FIFA development team in Vancouver.”
