Game developer Yacht Club Games announced today Shovel Knight is coming to Nintendo Switch, along with a new name for its original title.
A release date for the retro-looking title was not mentioned in the latest blog post, but the developer did share details current and future content PC and console owners will be seeing this year.
The entire and current content will be coming to Nintendo Switch as Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. This includes the original title (to be called Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope), along with Plague of Shadows and Specter of Torment. Current owners of the game on PS4, PC and Xbox One will have their titles updated to Treasure Trove to eventually be able to receive free campaignes via future updates.
Players who would like to buy the original game better do it soon before a price increase goes into effect in the Spring. Also, players will have the option to purchase the two additional contents sold separately.
Among the upcoming additions to Shovel Knight later this year: Body Switch, two-player co-op for all consoles, Battle Mode, and King Knight’s Campaign.
