Earlier today, Playtonic Games announced Yooka-Laylee is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 11th, but it won’t be coming to the Wii U due to “unforeseen technical issues.” The game will also launch on Mac and Linux on April 11th, for the same price of £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.
Steam and GOG.com users can get the special Digital Deluxe version of the title, which comes with a manual/art book and a digital soundtrack.
Kickstarter backers will have the opportunity to upgrade their order to a physical version. According to Playtonic Games, “our priority is to make sure that physical backers receive their game as soon as possible and not weeks late, so we want to make sure we choose the right distribution method before taking your pledges.”
For fans who wanted to play the game on the Wii U, the developers are working with Nintendo to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch. Another choice for backers is to select another version of the game free of charge or just wait for the Switch version.
Along with the post, the company released the game’s Capital Cashino trailer.
