While fans of the original NES are waiting patiently for the arrival of its mini counterpart, Japanese fans won’t be left behind as Nintendo announces the mini Famicom for release in Japan.
The mini Famicom will look just like its original self but smaller to fit in the palm of people, and can be easily connected to a TV via HDMI. The mentioned console will come with two wired controllers, but not with an AC adapter. Players may need to buy an AC adapter sold separately, something New 3DS owners already know too well. The device will be also come preloaded with 30 games. Among the features: A Home menu screen, Analog TV mode, four saves per games.
The palm-sized mini Famicom will be on sale for 5,800 yen on November 10, the day the mini NES will be released in the US and other countries.
The list of games included on the mini Famicom won’t be the same as the one for the mini NES. Games like Final Fantasy III won’t be present on the mini NES.
