As the Capcom franchise sees success in its path, Capcom announces Great Ace Attorney 2, the second title for the prequel to the Ace Attorney series. Titled Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Kakugo (大逆転裁判2 -成歩堂龍ノ介の覺悟-), it is the sequel to Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken (Great Turnabout Trial: The Adventure of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō / 大逆転裁判 ‐成歩堂龍ノ介の冒険).
The first title, released in July 2015, takes place in the 18th century during the Meiji Era Japan. The game’s main character, Ryūnosuke Naruhodō, is an ancestor of Ryūichi Naruhodō (aka Phoenix Wright). The company did not provide much information about Great Ace Attorney 2, but will announce more details in the near future.
According to Capcom translator Janet Hsu, the first title cannot be released outside of Japan as there are many circumstances that prevent the localization of said game.
Capcom also released a video to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Ace Attorney.
