After having purchased most of THQ’s intellectual properties and more than 150 game titles back in April 2013, Austrian company Nordic Games becomes THQ Nordic. The rebranding, according to the press release, represents “the next phase in our company’s evolution.” “Those key brands will continue to shape our business in a meaningful way going forward, and THQ Nordic represents a core approach of doing much more than “owning” a highly competitive portfolio of IPs.”
The company is currently active working on 23 game projects in development, “13 thereof have not yet been publicly announced, but are sure to be in the next months.” Many of the unannounced projects are based on franchises formerly owned by the original THQ.
With the new company name, THQ Nordic also revealed its new logo.
