The global sports TV network ESPN announced today ESPN2 will televise the Street Fighter V World Championship at EVO on July 17 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Street Fighter V will be one of the popular fighting games at the event, along with Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mortal Kombat X, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Guilty Gear Xrd-Revelator.
The three-day EVO 2016 event will start on July 15 at Las Vegas Convention Center.
Fans will be able to see live coverage of the EVO 2016 Finals starting at 10 pm ET on ESPN2 and also via the WatchESPN app.
What’s the reason for bringing SFV to EVO once again? According to ESPN, “the Street Fighter V World Championship has seen unprecedented interest and popularity, breaking Evo’s previous record for most entrants in a single game after just four days of registration.”
