For fans of Hayao Miyazaki’s beautiful anime films, a new app for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift titled Ghibli VR Demos brings scenes from the world of Miyazaki in VR.
For many years, developer Nick Pittom, aka Red of Paw, has shown his devotion for Studio Ghibli films by recreating scenes from Miyazaki’s library of films. Those demos have attracted many people around the world, and fans can now relive scenes in VR from the Boiler Room in Spirited Away, the Bus Stop scene in My Neighbor Totoro, and The Meadow in Howl’s Moving Castle.
Users of both VR devices shall check out the the talented and beautiful recreations of the world of Miyazaki, as seen in this video by ParaPlaysVR.
