Sony is giving current and prospective users more reasons to try and enjoy its streaming TV service as Disney brings its TV networks to PlayStation Vue while reducing $10 on its packages.
This marks the first time Disney takes its TV properties to a multi-channel pay TV service over the Internet. The channels available today are available in different packages, with other channels available in the near future.
The new prices for the service’s packages include:
- Access: 60+ channels – includes broadcast TV, cable, movies and sports, available for $39.99
- Core: 75+ channels – includes all the channels in Access with the addition of regional sports networks, available for $44.99
- Elite: 100+ channels – features all the channels in Access and Core, with the addition of more sports channels, top movie and entertainment networks, available for $54.99
Among the channels available starting today:
- ABC (Access)
- Disney Channel (Access)
- Disney Junior (Access)
- Disney XD (Access)
- Freeform (Access)
- Fusion (Elite)
- ESPN (Access)
- ESPN2 (Access)
- ESPNU (Core)
- ESPNEWS (Core)
- SEC Network (Core)
The following Disney channels will be available for PS Vue in the near future: ESPN3, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Bases Loaded, Longhorn Network, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Classic. Local ABC channels from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and San Francisco are available as of today.
Current subscribers will see the new prices in their next bill, while new users get the new price of their selected package as soon as they sign up.
With Cloud DVR and simultaneous streams via different devices (such as iPhone, iPad, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast) to use at home or on the go with the WatchESPN, WATCH ABC and Disney Channel apps, prospective users may want to give PlayStation Vue a try.
