XCOM 2 allows native integration of Steam Controller

For fans of PC strategy games and Steam, there are great news: XCOM 2 allows native integration of Steam Controller. With the collaboration of game developer Firaxis and Valve, the Steam Controller so far becomes the only controller to work with XCOM 2.

According to the blog post at Steam Community, the integration will let players:

• Use a different control scheme based on the in-game situation.
• Experience precise and responsive 1:1 camera controls using the touchpads in the Geoscape and the Tactical view.
• Instantly select your ability with the flexibility of the controller’s Touch Menus.

Fans interested in XCOM 2 may want to take a look at the game bundled with a Stream Controller; gamers can save 40% on the controller when purchasing the title.

“We consider this configuration to be an initial implementation, and as always, we hope the community will provide feedback in addition to making improvements to the configuration on their own,” says the post on Steam Community.
