The veteran micro-blogging network knows the importance of the gaming community and it is moving forward attracting a huge audience. To do this, Twitter has hired former YouTube director of gaming content Rodrigo Velloso. With Twitter, Velloso continues his career as director of gaming partnerships since September 2015, the company confirmed to Variety.
His goal at Twitter is to establish relationships with the entire gaming community. Gamers may have already seen one of his recent works with The Game Awards. He provided tools for the night of the event such as video-clipping support and Twitted Mirror (for selfies and GIFs in real time).
Velloso told Variety: “My entire career at Google revolved around content partnerships; I want to work with content creators and give them the tools, or in some cases build them the tools, to allow them to produce the best content.”
