Bandai Namco files the new trademark Tap My Katamari

Fans of the crazy and attractive world of Katamari should be happy for a return of the franchise as the European branch of Bandai Namco files the new trademark Tap My Katamari today. A NeoGaf user, Rösti, posted on the site the information retrieved from the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM aka OAMI) in Europe.

Besides the basic information of the game (such as classification and filing language), specific details about the game (ex., what devices the title will be available for) are absent.

The game already has its domain name ready, though its web site is still not prepared for a launch. TapMyKatamari.com is a placeholder site as of now.

Since the debut of the Katamari franchise, the series has seen 11 titles between 2004 and 2012. The last title in the series, Touch My Katamari, was released on February 2012.

With a three-to-four year absence, will fans return to the franchise once again?
