Star Fox Zero: Release Date: April 22. A sequel fans of the franchise have been wanting for a long time.
Splatoon: A new update available now brings 40 new pieces of gear, and tomorrow’s update will add the new stage Museum d’Alfonsino. More stage and features will be added to the game through January. A Splatoon tournament coming in December will be streamed live via YouTube, Twitch and Nintendo Live (http://live.nintendo.com).
Pokkén Tournament: People who purchase the first-run version of the game, coming to stores in the US in Spring 2016, will get a limited-edition Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card which unlocks the character in the game. Game retail price: $59.99.
Super Mario Maker: A new web portal will let fans do “a more robust search function” to look for levels for the game, via various web-enabled devices.
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash: Release date: Nov. 20. A new power-up called the Mega Mushroom in “Mega Battle Mode.” Other features include: Online competition, local play, amiibo support.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: For people who decide to buy the physical copy of the game, four free high-speed data loading packs available at the eShop will let gamers “increase the speed of loading times” in the Wii U game.
Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival: Retail price: $59.99. It launches tomorrow alongside the standalone Animal Crossing amiibo figures.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD: Ten years after its release on the Wii and GameCube, Nintendo announced the HD version will make its debut on March 4 along with a new amiibo figure included of Wolf Link and Midna. The title will also work with five other The Legend of Zelda amiibos from Super Smash Bros. As a bonus for those who pre-order the game, the game will come with its fantastic soundtrack.
The Legend of Zelda for Wii U: Coming in 2016, the perfect year to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Data from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD in the Wolf Link amiibo will be used with the new Zelda title.
Wii U Bundle: A new bundle will come with pre-installed copies of Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (and 3DS): The legendary character from Final Fantasy VII is coming to Smash. No announced date yet, but fans do hope Cloud gets to make his presence in the next DLC.
amiibo: Lucas in the Super Smash Bros. series, amiibo figures for Resetti, Blathers, Celeste and Kicks in the Animal Crossing series, and Series 2 of the Animal Crossing amiibo cards, coming in January 22.

- Mighty No. 9 on the Wii U gets a release date, Feb. 9, followed by the 3DS version shortly after.
- LEGO Marvel’s Avengers: Coming to the 3DS and Wii U on Feb. 16.
