Because of the tropical cyclone this past weekend, Verizon supports its customers following Hurricane Patricia offering certain free services to the Mexican-American community to contact their relatives.
According to the mobile telecommunication company:
- Wireless customers will incur no charges for texts or international long distance calls originating from the U.S. to Mexico from October 24 through October 30, 2015 (applicable taxes and surcharges will apply).
- Home telephone customers can make free calls to Mexico from their U.S. landlines from October 24 through October 30, 2015 (applicable taxes and surcharges will apply).
Also, Verizon customers will be able to make a donation of $10 (up to two times) by just texting the word “MEXICO” to 80108.
