According to Chinese company Shunrong Sanqi, Leyou Technologies becomes the new majority stake of SNK Playmore by purchasing 81.25% of the Japanese game developer company for US$63.5 million.
Two Chinese companies, Shunrong Sanqi and Oriental Securities, formed a joint venture called Zheyuan with the goal of investing in Leyou Technologies subsidiary called Ledo Millenium.
With the transaction made today in Japan, Oriental Securities subsidiary Dongfang Xinghui becomes the majority shareholder with 80% of shares.
The company plans to use the Marvel formula to expand the SNK Playmore franchises into comics, movies, TV shows, videogames, anime, and manga.
