Capcom registers Biohazard: Umbrella Corps trademark in Japan

Weeks after the revelation of the Umbrella Corps trademark in the European Union, which made people wonder if it had any relation to Capcom’s Biohazard franchise, aka Resident Evil, a more specific trademark registration surfaced recently in Japan titled Biohazard: Umbrella Corps.

What makes the trademark information a very interesting one is the various kinds of platforms the game will be available for. Though not specific, the document says the game will be available on TV home consoles, mobiles, and portable consoles with LCD screens.

Will it be a brand-new game? A spin-off? That is still unknown. We will just have to wait for Capcom to announce this game officially.
