With his company Comcept, executive producer Keiji Inafune launches Kickstarter projects for Red Ash game and anime. As one of the most-recognized game creators in the business, Inafune wants to pay respect to the anime industry with the creation of Red Ash, “a 3D action adventure game with third person shooter elements” with an anime version being developed independently by Studio 4℃.
This is also another special occasion for Inafune and friends; the main team that worked on Mega Man Legends is working on the development of the PC title Red Ash: The Indelible Legend.
As the main character, Red Ash is joined by his partner Tyger, tech guru Call, and Gofer (a robot).
As of tonight, the Red Ash anime has reached a third of its initial goal ($50,000 out of $150,000) for a 5-minute episode with 9 additional goals reaching up to $2.48 million to create additional episodes to turn it into a feature film if possible.
For the game, all goals have not yet been revealed, but Comcept is looking for an initial goal of $800,000 to create three episodes of The KalKanon Incident, with $500,000 more needed for two additional episodes.
The announcement of the Red Ash project was made at Anime Expo 2015 and the info was shared online.
