Today, Koei Tecmo America announced the upcoming sequel in the Samurai Warriors saga, titled Samurai Warriors 4-II. At first, fans may ask themselves why the numbering sounds like a side story of a sequel instead of an official sequel. It seems as if Koei Techmo took a page from the library of Final Fantasy titles; Square Enix did three titles of Final Fantasy XIII.
Samurai Warriors 4-II has been released in Japan earlier this year, and gamers in North America will see the debut of this game on September 29, 2015.
This new title, according to Koei Tecmo, is “a hero-focused saga.” The press release also adds: “Unlike the previous Samurai Warriors games that focused on delivering their narrative by exploring the various regions of feudal Japan, this title casts a spotlight on the characters themselves, and tells their stories through thirteen exciting new chapters. These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three fan-favorites from previous titles, and a brand new addition to the samurai roster.”
The game will also come with “Endless Castle,” a very challenging mode for players to survive for as long as they can, or “play against the clock and see how far they can get up the castles increasingly difficult levels!”
