Today, Nintendo revealed its plans for E3 2015 including the return of the Nintendo World Championships after 25 years. Though the doors of E3 are not open to the public, Nintendo does its best for everyone fan to know what’s going on at the event and share the fun with non-E3 attendees.
Besides the Nintendo Digital Event (starting on June 16 at 9am Pacific) and the Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3, Nintendo will let gamers try out Mario Maker at participating Best Buy stores on June 17 (4pm-9pm local time) and June 20 (noon-5pm) and give people a 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros pin.
As for the Nintendo World Championships 2015, (which personally brings me back memories of Blockbuster Video World Game Championship), Nintendo will let people compete at select Best Buy stores to experience the feeling of the original tournament last seen in 1990. ” The winners from each regional event, plus competitors invited by Nintendo, will meet on June 14, at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles for a multi-round Nintendo game competition,” says the press release.
The company will release more info in the upcoming days.
